I want to share with you all about Fennel Seeds. Here in Pashto Language we called it "Badian". So, I give you all a few information about Fennel.

Dried fennel seed is an aromatic, anise-flavoured spice they are brown or green in colour when fresh, and slowly turn a dull grey as the seed ages. In Malay language it's called " jintan manis" which means “sweet cumin”. Fennel pollen, also known as “spice of the angels”.
BADIAN a.k.a. SWEET FENNEL SEEDS
When the fennel coated with colouring sugar, it's become like picture belows:
People here often chew fennel seed or "BADIAN", as a mouth-freshener. Fennel is also used as a flavouring in some natural toothpastes. Some people employ it as a diuretic, while others use it to improve the milk supply of breastfeeding mothers.
p/s: Malaekah love to chew this badian, as a sweets or "gula-gula"...he he.

Yup, i pun tak tau yang ianya boleh menambah pengeluaran urine. lagi satu, kat sini kalau you kena sembelit, kita hancurkan fennel seeds ni, lebih kurang satu sudu teh,lepas tu telan, boleh mengurangkan kadar sembelit.
Yes,it's taste sweet. It's not a very healthy snack (boleh buat gigi ekah rosak kalau makan banyak-anyak), but once a while we eat as it's good for digestion and boleh buat mulut bau wangi:P
Fennel seeds makes the breath fresh which is why it is used after food. It is also widely used for Indian dishes and as mouth freshener. I tak suka sangat benda2 ni, kalau masak OK, tapi kalau makan raw or as the sweets, takleh la. tak biasa.
However, I am sure it's better than the normal sweets kan?

memula dulu shinky tak suka jugak, tapi lepas dah biasa makan ni, rasa sedap lah pulak, bukan apa, sesaja kunyah bila minum green tea, memang nyaman jer. Kat restoran sini, memang disediakan sweet fennel seeds ni selepas makan, FOC.

samalah kat sini, memang diorag bagi free lepas makan. kat tepi jalan diorg jual sebagai jajan, buh dalam pelbagai bentuk botol, comel-comel.
